Hm, sales? What’s that?

December 28, 2009 | Filed Under La vie, Shopping

Guess who didn’t go to the Boxing Day sales?! That’s right, me the complusive shopper who will almost buy anything at any price, haha. Instead my sister and I went to Ikea the day after. Not many people know this about me, but I love houseware/kitchen appliances etc. etc. as much as I love clothes and shoes. I thought Ikea wouldn’t be crazy because it’s not clothes… guess I was wrong because it felt like half of Sydney was in there. It was insane, we waited in line for 40 minutes but I’m happy with what we got which totaled to $24! (Noticeboard, Christmas decorations & tinsle, spatula, ice cube trays!!).

Today we were planning on heading into the City for some proper retail shopping but it’s been raining in Sydney for the past few days so we decided against it and went to our local shopping centre. Where I bought a handmixer solely for the purpose of making macarons; I can’t wait! Yum, yum :) We also went to Cotton On Body where I bought a stripy top & travel pillow for $5 and a really cute floral bra for $10.

Tomorrow I’m planning to take it easy on the monetary front and go to the gym with my friend and maybe see Avatar. Has anyone seen it? I’m trying not to be so biased about it but the animation doesn’t look that great to me. I guess I was expecting a lot more considering they spent something crazy like $300 or $500 million on it. Here’s yay to no more spending!

I find macarons too sweet but I do think they are pretty when on display.

I didn’t know Ikea had big sales, maybe I should go there next year.

I used to love going to Ikea! Nice Noticeboard. I need to buy a new; I hang all my necklaces on the one I have now. And it’s filled with really random things like postcards and ripped up pictures from magazines..

    I really liked Avatar. Then again, I’m a bit of a sci-fi junkie…

I didn’t go to any sales either! I do love buying stuff for the home though because you just get to enjoy it more often even when you’re not dressed fashionably!~

That “I Love Macarons” book was actually on my Christmas wishlist, but sadly, I didn’t end up getting it… woe is me

Yes those are Polaroids :) They were from a few years ago though, when the film was still readily made and cheap, ah I miss those days!
