On peut rêver, non?

Probably one of my biggest problems in life is controlling my spending on materialistic things, in particular fashion items! I just can’t stop myself, really the amount of money I’ve spent on clothes and etc. this year alone probably would’ve been enough to send me to Paris and back. Quite sad considering I forgo-ed the trip there this year because of financial issues, haha! Anyway, I’m usually not the type to like knock-offs but the Sportsgirl copy of the A.Wang bag is seriously cute in person, a lot cuter than the one made by Country Road.

Out of this list the things I’m going to by next are the Urban Outfitters wedges (if I can split the $60 shipping, really, it’s too much even when split between two people!) and the House of Harlow ring which is made of leather, stone and I think Swarvoski crystals. It’s so awesome, a little pricey for a ring but still I think it’s so badass yet oh-so femme.

The Chanel 2.55 and the Acne jacket are both dream items but in a world where I am a trillion, bajillionaire much like Bruce Wayne aka Batman, these would be hanging in my walk in closet with a machine operating turn system la Clueless. What a world, what a world.

On to something not so materialistic. I went to the video store the other night and rented movies – Milk, Dark Knight and Paris, Je t’aime. They were all great, truly. I love watching movies based on true stories and it’s so sad that Harvey Milk’s life had to end so tradgically. I’m not sure who it was who said this on the DVD extras but someone said that the death of Milk was so poignant that it allowed the gay rights movement to move at an even faster pace, that martyrdom really works. I really liked that quote and I think it’s so true. When someone so prominent is fighting for their beliefs and that fight is cut short, it really enables what they were working for to fast forward, to pick up pace and this is true in so many case. Sorry for the sudden shift in moods, really didn’t intend on it… but it makes you think doesn’t it? I’m also going to see This Is It tomorrow night!

Enter galactic, you & me

Le Fashion

I don’t know whether it’s Kid Cudi’s album effecting me or whether it’s the Big Bang Theory (haha, not likely) but I am really into these galaxy/alien prints on these dresses. I especially love the last three dresses with their widened hips – lovely for those who aren’t straight up and down, you feelin’ me curvy girls? I personally think these are amazing but very hard to pull off. There is another alternative I am dying to get my hands on!

WKND by Cheap Monday

Lookbook

The sister and I unfortunately did not pick these up whilst they were in GP and now we can’t find them anywhere. Online, offline. Tous! It was hard enough finding these images. WKND by Cheap Monday have a few other items made from this awesome print but I just want the leggings!

In other news, my house is being renovated and the ceiling for our one bathroomed house has been ripped off. It’s creeping me out and I have no clue when they’ll be done so I haven’t showered in a couple of days. Also my right eyelid has decided to cut it’s size down by half so now I permanently look like I have a lazy left eye. As if being smelly wasn’t enough!

Not travelling to places after all

Flying

I love PostSecret. I often forget to read it but when I do there’s always one that I can relate to. I really want to tell mothers that it’s okay that their children are screaming, kicking or even touching my bag. Children are children and only the really nasty people mind!

Anyway, I’ve decided not to go to France over the summer. Basically what changed my mind was the fact that I want to stay in Paris forever and I don’t have that kind of money and I know I will die of a broken heart if I only go to Strasbourg. It’s like being so close yet so far! I can’t do it to myself thus, I will save and go next year. I don’t think I can do Paris on a tight budget! I feel so bad for my friend though because she graduates before the trip next year so she’s still going to go to Strasbourg but I guess it’s okay because a return flight from HK (where she’ll be for the holidays) is only $900AUS compared to Sydney’s average of around $2200AUS. But blehhhhh, I can’t even articulate how I feel at the moment. I’m relieved that I don’t have to budget and etc though. This crap always happens to me, I announce things too early and then I change my mind. Very fickle friends, very fickle.

Today I had a presentation for my business class. It’s been months since my last one and I was terrible. Luckily it was a group one and we’ve all become pretty good friends so it’s all good. I’m very non-chalant about the result because it’s about 15% or something like that which is really nothing because the Final exam is about 60%.

And now I will chillax and eat my sorrows* away.

*I’m not actually that sad but any excuse to eat *shrugs*

Travelling to places

Edit: Decided not to go! Will make an entry about this later.

Hi all! I’m baaaack! Hopefully this is the last place I move to. As you all know, I love naming and shaming and unfortunately the moles over at Ashpink have decided to ditch their customers. So there goes my domain name (yes which I didn’t register under my own name… stupid indeed after what happen to Winn with Kinohost) and my data, which I don’t care all too much about but you know… it’s the principle!

Anyway, enough of that. My most exciting piece of news is that I’ll be going to Strasbourg, France in January! I’m kind of terrified of the intense coldness there, especially since it’s the middle of winter but I’m so excited. I haven’t gone overseas in nearly 8 years! My friend and I are also looking to stay in Paris for a couple of days which is seriously the ultimate goal of my life, haha. I’m so happy that it’s finally happening. I’ll also be flying alone which sucks since she’s going home for Christmas, I’m really nervous but I have time to make friends in the course to see if I can tag along with them.

Not Strasbourg, haha but this picture is so pretty?

And now I shall be off either procrastinating or doing uni work like I should be.

P.S. I’ve had bloglovin for a while but for only reading blogs if you would like to follow me there, here’s a link.
